Do you love to sing?
Ready for a new challenge?
Need some me-time?
Why not come along to a rehearsal and see if this is for you?
You don’t need to read music or have a trained voice. You don’t even need experience – just a willingness to learn vocal techniques and performance skills.
You’ll have an initial voice check to place you into one of the four voice parts according to your range – bass, baritone, lead or tenor.
- Leads sing the tune (melody)
- Basses sing the lowest harmony part
- Tenors sing the high part
- Baritones sing the leftover notes in the chord! Weaving above and below the melody
Be warned – singing four part harmony is seriously addictive!
We rehearse on Thursday evenings 7-10pm in the hall at Club Waimea, just through the lights in Lower Queen St, Richmond.
We have carpools from Atawhai, Nelson and Motueka. Let us know if you need a ride.
